Pleasant Beach Village, a new mixed use neighborhood by Wenzlau Architects for Windermere, was conceived as an extension of the historic Lynwood Center shopping district on Bainbridge Island, WA. The first phase of the project included a new retail streetscape and a variety of housing types. The second phase includes apartments, a pool and community center, a central park and picnic area, and restored open spaces including an extensive trail network that links to Phase 1 and a future Phase 3. FBP provided site and park design, tree retention analysis, and planting plans for city permit submittals. Construction of the pool will be completed in 2015.
