Pleasant Beach Village, a new mixed use neighborhood by Wenzlau Architects for Windermere, was conceived as an extension of the historic Lynwood Center shopping district on Bainbridge Island, WA. A 4-room lodge and seven cottages are proposed for the less than 1-acre site. The interior courtyard will be a cottage garden with a variety of traditional plant species and the surrounding perimeter will be a woodland garden to provide continuity with the adjacent native forest. The project has recently gone through the city’s SPR process.
